Thursday, June 15th, 2028: Monty Brewster World Baseball Association News: First-Year Player Draft
Scouts, coaches, managers, and GMs all huddle together today to review the amateur draft and make decisions to fill their current and future needs. The 2028 Monty Brewster World Baseball Association candidates will be evaluated even more selectively now that judgment day has fallen on previous scouting reports. Each team will review its initial assessments and compare them to SION's conventional, conservative, and often unpredictable top ten rankings:
1. Norberto Canales, 22 year-old right fielder out of college.
2. John Knight, 22 year-old center fielder out of college.
3. Nathaniel Dryden, 19 year-old starting pitcher out of high-school.
4. Mike Brown, 19 year-old center fielder out of high-school.
5. Clancy Frean, 19 year-old center fielder out of high-school.
6. Chuck Shope, 22 year-old starting pitcher out of college.
7. Seung-won Pu, 19 year-old starting pitcher out of high-school.
8. Daniel Hart, 19 year-old shortstop out of high-school.
9. Javier Díaz, 19 year-old right fielder out of high-school.
10. Daniel Ware, 22 year-old left fielder out of college.

The draft unfolds with the first five picks given to Cleveland, Las Vegas, Kansas City, Oakland and Cape Cod.
