Oakland pitcher Daniel Ray blanked the Brewster Whitecaps 10-0, tossing a 5-hitter while issuing 1 walk and collecting 7 strikeouts.
After his sharp shutout performance, he said that he gives a lot of the credit to his batterymate. "Me and him are just locked in out there. He's so great at having a feel for hitters. I couldn't do what I'm doing without him."
This season Ray has a 6-1 record with a 3.31 ERA. |

In a splendid 6-0 shutout performance, Karl Williams of the Burnaby Express subdued the Little Rock Miners on a 4-hitter.
His manager said in postgame comments, "He kept hitting his spots and putting up zeroes."
Williams registered 7 strikeouts and 1 walk.
Checking out his stats for the season, Williams has registered 5 wins and 6 losses in 14 starts, 5.20 ERA and struck out 86 batters in 100.1 innings. |
