| Breaking News |  | Tuesday, June 13th, 2028: Chiba-Yomiuri Deal: Yamasaki for Suzuki
Officials for the Chiba Lotte Marines confirmed that they have traded 28-year old reliever Yo Yamasaki and $1,148,665 in cash to the Yomiuri Giants. In return, the Lotte Marines will receive 22-year old second baseman Tatsuzo Suzuki and 19-year old minor league catcher Tabito Samurakami.
This season he has made 20 relief appearances, collecting no saves. Yamasaki has worked 28.2 innings, yielding 28 hits and giving out 16 free passes while striking out 13. He has a 4-1 record with a 3.45 ERA.

 | Monday, June 12th, 2028: SoftBank Hawks-Dragons Swap: Yanagi for Hutchins
The Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks have parted ways with 29-year old shortstop Kimi Yanagi, sending him to the Chunichi Dragons for 34-year old minor league reliever Nathan Hutchins. The SoftBank Hawks general manager confirmed the deal in an announcement this morning.
Yanagi has a .221 average and a .273 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 51 hits, no home runs and driven in 16 runs.

Jorge Jaramillo of the Hiroshima Toyo Carp cruised to Central League Player of the Week honors after putting together one of the finest stretches in his career last week.
The catcher batted .391 (9-23) with 3 home runs, 8 RBIs and 4 runs scored.
In his season totals Jaramillo has 15 home runs and a .199 batting average. |
